  2014 Hurricane Season

Residents of North America, including Canada, United States of America and Mexico, are affected by tropical cyclone or hurricane activity which forms on either side of the continent.  On the Atlantic-side we monitor activity in the North Atlantic Ocean including the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.  On the Pacific-side we monitor activity in the Pacific Ocean east of 140 degrees West Longitude.

Traditionally the North Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 01 to November 30.  The Eastern North Pacific Hurricane Season runs from May 15 to November 30.

Outlook for the 2014 hurricane seasons as well as ongoing activity are monitored by various organizations and I make every effort to keep this site updated with the latest happenings in both the Atlantic and Pacific basins.  Outlooks as well as current and past activities are listed and archived in the following sections.
